Midwestnitro Rules for
2010 Season
I do not feel it necessary to copy and paste a 5 page list of rules from other racing series. We all race for fun and enjoy a little competition while doing it. However there are things that should be addressed and some that go without saying anything.
Drugs, alcohol, and swearing
Simply put not allowed!
1/8 Buggy & Truggy:
Tires: As long as there made for the vehicle, run them.
Motor: I don’t care what size motor you run in the gas classes. I have never seen anyone have a performance advantage racing if someone had a .21 motor or a .28. However it must be made for the vehicle. However anyone with an airplane motor in a truggy will not be allowed to race.
Fuel tank: If it is made for the vehicle, run it.
Ex: Do not put a 2000cc truggy tank in a buggy.
Upgrades: I think we all need them at one point or another. But a 2000cc tank is not allowed anyway.
Amendments:
1. MT class can run with the Intermediate Truggy class.
2. Electric converted vehicles are allowed to run with there corresponding class.
3. Anyone using a lipo battery must charge in a lipo bag!
4. Electric converted vehicles must pit for 4 seconds at 7 minuet mark in the mains. The track steward will call you in for your pit.
Marshaling:
For some reason this seems to be the most broken rule and most complained about at any event. IF YOU RACE YOU MARSHAL! Unless you are physically unable to marshal, then you must provide a replacement.
After your run: either your pit guy takes your vehicle to the pits or you put it on a table if provided. Either way you need to get out on the track and marshal immediately! If you or your fill in is not out at your spot at least for half the warm up, you will be docked 1 lap off your best time. The second offense you will loose the entire qualifier.
1. Marshal how you want to be marshaled. If you take your time to flip someone else’s vehicle don’t complain if someone does the same to you.
2. Marshals are not to put themselves in harms way to save your qualifying time. There health is more important than your vehicle or your time.
3. Marshals do not have to or are expected to flip a vehicle with the motor pegged wide open. I for one will not touch a vehicle with the tires spinning. Hit the breaks!!
4. Marshal after you’re main and qualifier. It always seems hardest to get a marshal for the mains. Everyone likes to pack and go home. It was a long day and maybe you did not do as well as hoped. Please stick around and marshal after you’re main. I would hate to take away any points you earned for the day.
Some rules can be bent and other can be broken. Some just won’t be tolerated if broken. Please respect each other and we all can have fun. And as always remember we are guests at the hosting track and there rules must be obeyed and respected as well.
Thank you,
